See how a Google Doc was written — not just what it says.

WriteTrace is a Chrome extension for teachers. It replays a document's full revision history keystroke by keystroke and flags large pastes, writing time, sessions and unusual writing patterns — so a conversation about AI or copying starts from evidence.

FAQ

Is this an AI detector? No. It shows the writing process; patterns are context for a conversation, not proof.

Whose documents can I analyze? Documents you have edit access to — the same history Google's Version history shows.
